Welcome back to the Mound Time blog for 2010.

The Mound Time Babe Ruth 13's and 14's are North Oregon State Champs!  Both teams are competing in the Pacific Northwest Regionals in Idaho, August 2-7th.  Regional winners head to the Babe Ruth World Series.

13's are in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  All of their games are being webcast at East Idaho Sports Network.

14's are in Lewiston, Idaho.  There is no live coverage from Lewiston, but they have a facebook page and we are making Twitter updates so you can follow the action.

Mound Time also has a Facebook page for fan notes and photos, as well as updates for both teams.

So, what is the best way to follow the action?

If you are at a computer, pull up the East Idaho Sports Network webcasts for the 13's.  This is a free production and pretty well done.  This blog will be updated with results, but for in-game information, Twitter is best.

By cell phone, please sign up for Twitter.  I won't update for every pitch, but will keep you posted on games as I receive them.

By Facebook page...if you are on Facebook, "like" our Page and you will be connected to the MT fan base.

Thanks for supporting Mound Time Baseball and good luck to the 13's and 14's !

Closing the Book on 2009

The Hillsboro Argus ran a story today on the Mound Time 13's and 14's, outlining their progress through the Babe Ruth North Oregon and Pacific NW Regional Tournaments.

It was a great run for the young men playing under the banner of "Mound Time Baseball." I can't wait to follow their progress as they move on to the various high schools in the area.

Congratulations on a great season and good luck! Enjoy fall ball or the next sport season and enjoy fond memories of a great summer :)

14's Run Comes to an End

The Tualatin Hills/Mound Time 14-year-old All-Stars were defeated today by South Oregon, 11-4, thus eliminating them from the Pacific NW Babe Ruth Regional in Moscow, Idaho.

South Oregon (Coos Bay/North Bend) went on to defeat Meridian, Idaho, to win the championship and represent the region at the Babe Ruth World Series in Wisconsin.

It was a great week in Pullman, Washington, and Moscow. The boys finish their two-year stint with Mound Time as back-to-back North Oregon champs and with trips to Regionals. Great job!

Thanks to the coaches and players on both the 13's and 14's -- it was a great summer!
